I have to wonder a movie made from mixing all of this week's releases would be like... Disney continues to milk dead properties, blondes do their romantic thing, one comedy is made from clay and another uses punchlines that most likely involve gooey bodily substances not unlike clay...and one video game movie starring the Rock. This week is difficult for me, because I thought Doom was a very capable sci-fi action movie that actually surprised me at a few points, but I'm also decently interested in Waiting because of Ryan Reynolds as well as Wallace and Gromit because I enjoyed the original shorts. So really, I have to leave this week up to where ever your particular tastes lie. As far as I'm concerned there are three movies that are all equal in their own genres. For the record, Yavanna will be checking out Wallace and Gromit. Just sayin.

Video games have slimmer pickins this week. An RPG, two updates of older games, and one "weird" game. Out of this list, I'd most like to check out RE: Deadly Silence. Now a full decade old, the original Resident Evil is still a good, solid, fun game. From what I can see this translation is completly faithful translation from the original Playstation. Then there is the Rebirth mode with some extra quirky but interesting additions designed to take advantage of the DS's unique interface. It might be a nice trip down memory lane, and anyone who has joined the Resident Evil bandwagon late should definitly check out where it all started. After all, before the shambling dead can know where they're going, the shambling dead need to know where they've been. Or something.

And how long before we start seeing regular X-Box 360 releases?
